What's RUMAH?

The Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub is a community center and volunteer collective based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide access to space and resources and are funded almost entirely through community donations.
Our programs are community-led. We provide:
- An accessible, sober space to put on your event at a free or sliding scale
- Free access to zines, books, art supplies, printers, and more
- A seed library, plant swaps, and native plant community garden maintained by our sustainable gardening team
- A self-defense training collective
- Free harm reduction supplies
- A free grocery delivery program for those in need
- A publically-available online resource directory (submit a resource!)
…and so much more.
Our Mission
We envision a stronger community with accessible spaces where people across all backgrounds and affinities feel a sense of belonging.
We try to fulfill these needs by not only providing a vital third space for people to meet and gather, but by hosting workshops, skill-shares, and community-sourced programming. Our cause is simple: Our community knows the best way to help and heal itself.
Community is a right, not a privilege. We believe in non-hierarchical collaboration, autonomy, diversity, transparency, and that everyone has something to offer.
